The 2-acre gardens and grounds of the Historic Napa Mill feature not only the wonderful little local shops, eateries, and boutiques, but also supports several permanent and rotating art installations.
Changing every other year or so, are one-to-two sculptures curated by the City of Napa Public Art Walk. These locations are in front of Angèle and often in the Riverbend Plaza. Read about the current Art Walk and artists, as well as past exhibitions.
Permanently installed are three pieces: Alan Shepp’s Mosaic Fountain, Fish On, and Timeless Joy, an in-flight humming bird of recycled materials (including the gas tank of a Harley Davidson).
It doesn’t stop at outdoor art: Amelia's Gift Shop usually has many items also crafted by talent from the area. If it is local talent you hope to capture as you visit Napa, you will find much handcrafted at the Historic Mill that goes beyond the art of wine.

One of the most popular sculptures to emerge from downtown Napa ARTwalk program, "Fish On," has been cast in its final location - Napa River Inn and the Historic Napa Mill complex. This alluring work of metal caught the attention of locals and visitors alike with its realistic spirit and hooked the “People’s Choice” award because of its popularity.
Timeless Joy
Lt. Mustardseed
Desert Storm Veteran and metal artist Lieutenant Mustardseed's “Timeless Joy” is a hummingbird created from recycled everyday objects reborn as bold, colorful and playful art. Incorporating a Harley Davidson gas tank among other cast-offs, Mustardseed brings new life to old things in a creative effort to “honor the traditions of our past generations, as well as create unique works of art that represent our own time and place.”
Lighted Art Festival
Annually in January/February
The Napa Lighted Art Festival is a celebration of creative arts, technology and lights, and supports innovative techniques using light and light technologies as a growing art medium. This walkable outdoor experience is free in Downtown Napa and features lighted art sculptures and projection artwork on iconic downtown buildings.
